Keylogg

Side projects · 2023-01-01 – present

Chrome extension to track typing speed, enabling users to analyse their actual productivity, and get alerted when they are becoming tired or losing focus. I love time trackers, but they can sometimes provide noisy signal, and are limited in analysing productivity.

AmiScan

Work · 2020-02-01 – 2021-03-01

AmiScan is an innovative startup project focused on automating the analysis of asbestos samples using electron microscopes. It is able to detect fibers with a convolutional neural network trained on semantic segmentation. The platform is a client-server architecture, granting the flexibility to run everything on a laptop, or to host the server on a central maching so that everyone in the laborary can manage analyses. It is able to control both Zeiss and Tescan microscopes.

Quantum circuits for generating Bell diagonal states

Research · 2019-03-01 – 2019-09-01

Improvement on previous implementations of quantum circuits to generate the full spectrum of Bell Diagonal states on the IBM quantum computer (Qiskit). Previous work did not generate the full spectrum of Bell Diagonal states. Bell Diagonal states are crucial to some theoretical experiments about entanglement and locality.

StudyBuddy

School projects · 2018-09-01 – 2018-12-01

Android app to help form and manage study groups on university campuses, allowing students to easily connect with peers sharing similar majors, courses, and languages spoken. Users can create or discover study groups through a centralized feed, sorted by major, courses, and languages spoken. Once a group is joined or created, the app provides features such as scheduling, location setup, file sharing, and messaging.

Parallel-RePlAce

Research · 2018-08-01 – 2019-06-01

Improvement of performance on the state of the art (at the time) VLSI placer. Analysis and reduction of memory footprint leading to 2x improvement, and then acceleration of 3 main bottlenecks with shared memory parallelism. VTune analysis of optimized code. Study of other techniques like SIMD parallelism and columnar-style data structures (and algorithms).
